1. Introduction

Vooyagi ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

Account Information: Email address, username, full name, and password when you create an account.
Profile Information: Bio, profile photo, and website URL you choose to add.
Content: Travel tips, guides, photos, comments, and other content you post.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's precise location to center the map around you and to help you pick the place you are reviewing. We also store the geographic coordinates of the places you add to tips, guides and trip plans. You can use parts of the Service without granting location access.
Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.
Communications: Messages and feedback you send to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
Create and manage your account
Display your travel tips and guides to other users
Send you notifications about activity on your content
Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

4. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following situations:

Public Content: Travel tips, guides, and profile information you make public are visible to other users.
Service Providers: We rely on a small set of processors to operate the Service: Supabase (database, authentication and storage), Google Maps Platform (maps, place search and geocoding — place queries are processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy), Resend (transactional email) and Expo (push notification delivery).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with servers located in the European Union. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access and receive a copy of your personal data
Correct inaccurate personal data
Request deletion of your personal data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or on the web (Settings → Delete Account). For any other request, contact us.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and LGPD.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vooyagi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Vooyagi is an invite-only network where travelers share recommendations about real places, plan trips and turn them into shareable guides. Every account is approved manually. The Service is available via mobile app and web.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. User Content

By posting content on Vooyagi, you:

Retain ownership of your content
Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service
Represent that you have the right to post such content
Agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Agree to post only genuine, first-hand experiences: fake, paid or incentivized reviews are prohibited and lead to account termination
Zero tolerance: there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Vooyagi. Content reported as objectionable is reviewed and removed, and abusive users are ejected. You can report any content or user in the app, and block any user — blocking immediately hides all of their content from you and notifies our team
Acknowledge that Vooyagi is a space for travelers: businesses may not use the Service to respond to reviews, promote themselves or solicit customers

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Post false, misleading, or spam content
Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Use automated means to access the Service without permission
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Vooyagi name, logo, and all related names, logos, and designs are trademarks of Vooyagi. You may not use these without our prior written permission. All other content, features, and functionality are owned by Vooyagi and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of travel tips or guides posted by users. Always verify important information before making travel decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vooyagi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
